Plot Summary: Charity Curtis has the perfect summer job of playing the "final girl" at Camp Mirror Lake. Guests pay to be scared in this full-contact horror game. The summer crew recreates scenes from the slasher film Curse of Camp Mirror Lake.
During the last weekend of the season, her co-workers begin to disappear, but when one ends up dead, Charity's role as the final girl becomes too real. If Charity and her girlfriend Bezi hope to survive the night, they have to figure out what the killer is after. Is there some truth to the Curse of Camp Mirror Lake movie after all?
My Verdict:
This was surprisingly good for how short this book was! It had a weird and unexpected twist that I did not see coming. The whole idea of having the horror game based on a movie was really intriguing. If you enjoy horror, I would highly recommend this one. I listened to the audio and found it enjoyable. Sometimes a narrator can make or break a book for me.
